Long-standing client, The Hill School, has invited KWD to redesign the school’s admissions publications. KWD has worked with the college preparatory boarding school in Pottstown, PA for over 10 years. The project will allow KWD to update the messages for the school and redesign the current viewbook.

7.08.08 North Carolina Friends school taps KWD for Admissions Work
Carolina Friends School, an independent Quaker school in Durham, NC with 480 students ages 3-18 has invited KWD to commence message research in preparation for new admissions materials and a redesigned website to be completed by August of 2009.

Kelsh Wilson Marketing Director Beth Carey will be attending the Small Colleges Enrollment Conference, July 21-23 in Orlando, FL. Kelsh Wilson Design is thrilled to announce that our work for the Oregon State University Foundation’s capital campaign was awarded a Gold Medal in the CASE Circle of Excellence Awards. KWD researched, wrote, designed and photographed the award-winning case statement.

6.01.08 California International School invites KWD to Create New Admissions Package
International School of the Peninsula, an independent co-ed nursery-8th grade Chinese & French language immersion day school located in Palo Alto, California, will work with Kelsh Wilson to develop new admissions materials, including a viewbook and search piece.

5.30.08 Kelsh Wilson to revamp Philadelphia University Magazine
Philadelphia University, a private institution of higher learning committed to providing an experiential education and recognized as a leader in the architecture, design, engineering, business, textiles, and health and sciences fields, has asked that KWD redesign the school’s alumni magazine.

5.15.08 KWD to Develop Fundraising Messages and Materials for City of Hope National Medical Center
City of Hope, an innovative biomedical research, treatment and educational institution dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases, located in Duarte, CA, has invited Kelsh Wilson to work with them to develop fundraising messages and communications materials in support of a $1 billion campaign.

4.15.08 KWD Begins work on New Materials for Current Clients
Kelsh Wilson is happy to announce the continuation of successful partnerships with the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, a 6-12 college prep girls school founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA and Mount Saint Josephs Academy a Catholic college-preparatory school for girls in Flourtown, PA. KWD is working with both schools to update their admissions materials.

The Hun School of Princeton, NJ has invited KWD to assist them in developing annual giving materials for 2008-09. Kelsh Wilson designed the school’s 2007-08 annual fund campaign materials.

2.01.08 New Web sites launched

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the organization, Settlement Music School, the largest community-based school of the arts in the United States, tapped KWD to update their Web site. The site features extensive use of Kelsh Wilson photography and included a content management system and new information architecture along with an updated look consistent with the Kelsh Wilson Design print materials. George Washington University Graduate School of Business invited KWD to design a new Web site and an electronic brochure for the school’s graduate programs. The new site brings all the separate program sites together with an elegant design and standard navigation. Kelsh Wilson achieved this consistency by developing a common structural design and navigation upon which the visual design was based. Investigative reporters Don Bartlett and Jim Steele, contributing editors for Vanity Fair, approached Kelsh Wilson to design a Web site that allows their visitors to review their published articles and books, enables the team to post their interviews with the media, and allows them to dispatch timely comments on a blog for their readers. 1.01.08 A new year and new clients for Kelsh Wilson! We welcome these new partnerships
  • Washington College, a liberal arts college in Chestertown, MD has engaged Kelsh Wilson to support their development work.
  • Kelsh Wilson will assist The Rumson Country Day School, a pre-school through 8 independent school in Rumson, NJ, in developing communications for their fundraising efforts.
  • The Friends of the Wissahickon, a 1,300 member, non-profit organization founded in 1924 with a mission “to preserve the natural beauty and wildness of the Wissahickon Valley and stimulate public interest therein,” is partnering with Kelsh Wilson to support its $10 million Sustainable Trails Initiative. The project includes logo development for the campaign and publications to support the fundraising efforts of the organization.
  • Center City District, a business development organization in Philadelphia has asked KWD to produce their 2007 State of Center City.
  • National Cathedral School, an Episcopal, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 4-12 in Washington, DC has tapped KWD to update the school’s admissions materials and Web site.
  • MAGPI, a provider of Internet2 high speed network connectivity and applications support to the University of Pennsylvania and over 420 institutions across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware and Kentucky, has hired Kelsh Wilson to create a new identity, marketing materials, and Web site for the organization.

  • Montclair Kimberley Academy, an independent school client since 1998, has invited KWD to create new admissions materials that reflect the school’s three distinct campuses in Montclair, NJ.

11.01.07 Oregon State University Campaign Launch a Success!
On October 26, Oregon State University launched a $625 Million campaign—the university’s first. KWD worked with the OSU Foundation to identify a name and themes for the fundraising initiative. Creative work included the logo, key publications, and a Web site. OSU President Edward J. Ray States, “We consider ourselves well-equipped for the next stage as we continue our drive to bring Oregon State University to a new level of excellence.”

10.01.07 New Orleans School taps Kelsh Wilson for Admissions Publications and DVD
Isidore Newman School, a Pre-K to 12 co-ed independent school enrolling more than 1,000 students has invited KWD to assist in the redesign of their admissions publications and the development of an admissions DVD.

10.01.07 Temple University Launches $350 Million Campaign featuring KWD designed materials
Working with Temple University over the past 18 months, Kelsh Wilson has assisted the university in identifying a name and key messages for their first-ever comprehensive campaign. Using those messages as the basis for design, KWD created the fund-raising tools that will support Temple in achieving the campaign goals. The materials included a 32-page University-wide case statement and 20 smaller case statements for individual schools and programs. The campaign went public on October 5, 2007.

8.01.07 Kelsh Wilson Completes Materials For Long-Time Clients
Germantown Friends School, The Ranney School, and SUNY Oneonta partnered again with KWD to redesign their admissions packages—the materials delivered this month.

7.01.07 Managing Partner Named to CASE Council
Fred Wilson was recently invited to participate on the CASE Industry Advisory Council (IAC). The mission of the IAC is to provide CASE with executive counsel and advice on opportunities to better serve its corporate affiliates and expand its relationship with Educational Partners within the advancement industry.

7.01.07 The College of William & Mary Unveils New Video
Presented in a new, state-of-the-art visitor center, the William & Mary admissions video reveals the quirkier side of student life at the college. Working with the admissions office, KWD photographers Nick Kelsh and Kevin Monko created the video to show prospective students a side of the school that they wouldn’t necessarily see on the official tour. The video features student and faculty interviews, creative videography and an orange Vespa.

2.19.07 KWD to Work with Potomac School
Kelsh Wilson Design is set to begin a viewbook project with the Potomac School, an independent K-12 school comprised of four divisions and approximately 900 students in McLean, VA. Beginning in April, KWD will complete a set of research interviews and focus groups, provide message recommendations, and write, design and photograph the book for delivery in Summer 2008.

2.13.07 KWD to design Web site and E-Brochure for GW School of Business
KWD began working with The George Washington University School of Business in Washington,D.C. on a new Web site and E-Brochure. The new site will communicate the strengths of the school’s graduate programs through a set of streamlined mini-sites. In addition, KWD will design and produce an E-Brochure that will be an interactive, Flash-based overview of the School’s graduate programs.

2.13.07 KWD Attends CASE District I & II Conference in NYC
Managing Principal Fred Wilson attended the annual CASE Districts I&II conference at the Marriot Marquis Time Square in New York City February 11-13. Conference attendees stopped by the KWD booth in the exhibit hall and took a chance at winning a new ipod shuffle. The winner of the KWD raffle is to be announced through a mailing to conference attendees.

2.07.07 New Viewbook for St. John’s School in Houston, TX
St. John's School, a prestigious independent, co-educational K-12 day school with about 1,200 students in Houston, TX, invited Kelsh Wilson Design to write, design and photograph its new viewbook. The project, which kicked off in February with a set of on-site research interviews, will replace a book that has been used for almost five years.

1.31.07 KWD Attends CASE NAIS Conference in Philadelphia
Marketing Director Beth Carey attended the annual CASE NAIS conference at the Philadelphia Convention Center January 28-30. Conference attendees stopped by the KWD booth in the exhibit hall between sessions to view samples of our work. Many took a chance at winning a new ipod shuffle by dropping a business card in the KWD raffle, which is to be announced through a mailing to conference attendees.

1.23.07 PAR PREF Logo Completed
Continuing work with the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS®, Kelsh Wilson designed a new logo for the Association’s REALTORS® Education Foundation. PREF is a charitable organization whose mission is to heighten professionalism through education within the real estate industry in Pennsylvania by offering specialized programs and scholarships to REALTORS® in PA. This is the third logo KWD has designed for the association.

1.08.07 KWD Receives Five Admissions Marketing Report Awards
Five admissions publications created by Kelsh Wilson took Awards in the 22nd Annual Admissions Advertising Awards sponsored by Admissions Marketing Report, a monthly magazine covering news and trends in the admissions marketing field. The Kent Place School print package and the Far Hills Country Day School identity both received gold awards in their categories, while The University of Pennsylvania Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management took two awards: a bronze award for the Web site and a merit award for the admissions brochure. 12.07.06 KWD to Design UPenn Arts and Sciences Web Site
The University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences has invited Kelsh Wilson to restructure and redesign its Web site. The College is the largest of Penn’s undergraduate schools, enrolling 6,000 of the University's 10,000 undergraduates. This exciting new project extends KWD’s long-lasting relationship with the University.

12.06.06 KWD Begins Print Design Work for CFAR
The Center for Applied Research, a Philadelphia-based management consulting firm specializing in strategy and organizational development, recently invited Kelsh Wilson to design a suite of print communications. The first of the suite is a firm brochure, which will use the current CFAR Web site as a reference or look and feel. KWD will also produce new templates and a masthead for information sheets, pocket folders and Powerpoint templates.

12.06.06 Germantown Friends School Admissions Work Begins
Independent Quaker day school for grades K-12 and long-time client Germantown Friends School invited Kelsh Wilson to write, design, and take photography for a new admissions viewbook package.

12.02.06 KWD to Produce Case Statement for The Buckley School
KWD will write, design, and take photography for a capital campaign case statement for The Buckley School, a K-9 all boys independent school in New York, NY. The School recently entered the public phase of its $25M campaign for endowment.

Kelsh Wilson Design will redesign the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts & Science’s Web site. The site will convey the College’s central position in the international research university and offer a wealth of information for prospective and current students, parents, faculty, and alumni.

11.15.06 New Web site for KR+H Cabinetmakers
Kelsh Wilson recently completed the design and production of a Flash-based Web site for Kochman Reid and Haigh Cabinetmakers. The new site complements the print marketing brochure that KWD designed for KR+H in 2005.

11.08.06 Far Hills Country Day School Web Site Lauched
KWD recently launched a Web site for Far Hills Country Day School, a Prekindergarten though Grade 8 independent co-educational day school located in Far Hills, NJ. The site debuts the logo that Kelsh Wilson also designed for the school. And currently, KWD is working on a viewbook for Far Hills to be completed by August, 2007.

11.04.06 Fred Wilson Presents Branding to NJAIS Trustees
Fred Wilson, managing principal of Kelsh Wilson Design, presented the concept of "branding" in the context of the independent school environment to the board of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools at their November Trustee Enrichment Day. The presentation explored the elements that make up the independent school brand, the process in defining a brand, and the methods used to deliver an independent school's brand—through words and images.

11.02.06 Choate Rosemary Hall Successfully Kicks Off Capital Campaign
With the help of Kelsh Wilson Design, Choate Rosemary Hall, an independent boarding school in Wallingford, CT, has announced that it is embarking upon a five-year, $200 million capital campaign in support of identified school priorities. Kelsh Wilson has been working with Choate on a number of campaign communications over the past year in anticipation of the kick off. This work included message research, a communications plan, naming, a logo, event collateral, a campaign Web site (www.campaignforchoate.org) and a case statement. As the campaign progresses in its public phase, Kelsh Wilson will continue to work with Choate Rosemary Hall on campaign newsletters and electronic updates.

10.16.06 Kelsh Wilson Design’s New Marketing Director
Beth Carey, a veteran Kelsh Wilson Design account director, recently transitioned her role to focus on marketing the firm and its capabilities. In her new position, Beth will direct the firm’s marketing efforts and contact prospective clients for new work.

Kelsh Wilson Design launched http://www.centerforliteracy.org/, a Web site for the nation's oldest and largest community-based nonprofit literacy provider.

10.11.06 Campaign Work for Houghton College
Houghton College, a Christian liberal arts college in upstate New York, has asked Kelsh Wilson to design a set of case statements for two capital projects—a new science building and a new chapel.

9.25.06 New Look for Fairfield, CT Architecture Firm
Vicente-Burin Architects, a full service design-oriented architecture firm whose specialty is custom residential construction and renovation, has asked Kelsh Wilson Design to redesign its logo. Upon approval of the new identity, Kelsh Wilson will apply it to a stationery package and redesign its Web site.

9.20.06 KWD to Work with William & Mary Business School
Kelsh Wilson Design is scheduled to begin work on the redesign of the College of William & Mary’s Mason School of Business alumni magazine, as well as a redesign of its admissions viewbook. Kelsh Wilson has worked with the College of William & Mary for several years and is delighted to expand the relationship at the college.

Kelsh Wilson Design is working with ARAMARK to develop a consistent look and feel for its Executive Leadership communications. The internal communications package includes stationery, a pocket folder and a customized capacity folder.

Kelsh Wilson Design will attend The National Association for College Admission Counseling annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA October 5-7. Current and prospective clients are invited to stop by KWD’s booth in the exhibit hall at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

9.05.06 KWD to Redesign Web site for NY Community College
Kelsh Wilson Design will redesign the Finger Lakes Community College Web site. The College, located in Canandaigua, NY with 4,190 full- and part-time students, is undergoing the redesign with research and strategic goals in mind.

9.05.06 Continues Work for Settlement Music School
Settlement Music School, the largest community-based school of the arts in America, has invited Kelsh Wilson Design to design its admissions viewbook for the fourth time. Kelsh Wilson will update the design and take new photography for this new edition.

9.05.06 New Web site for PA Association of REALTORS
The PA Association of REALTORS hired Kelsh Wilson to redesign its Web site in addition to designing its logo and graphics style guide. Before the redesign begins, Senior Writer Kris Conner will interview select site users and formulate “user profiles.” This work will help the project team to understand how site users navigate the current site and the Web in general, and will help the team to develop a new site architecture and design.

8.21.06 Two Annual Reports for Philadelphia Catholic Service Agencies
Kelsh Wilson Design will continue its relationship with Catholic Healthcare Services and Catholic Social Services by designing two 2006 annual reports for these divisions of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. KWD has done these books since 2000 and 2001 respectively, and will continue this year’s projects with fresh design and photography.

8.01.06 New Admissions Package for Princeton Day School
Junior kindergarten-grade 12 independent school in Princeton, NJ and long-time client Princeton Day School invited Kelsh Wilson to write, design, and take photography for a new admissions viewbook package. The package, which is now complete, includes three viewbooks—one for each school—and a curriculum guide. These publications will replace the viewbook that KWD created for the school several years ago.

8.01.06 Second Viewbook for KWD and Ranney School
Kelsh Wilson is working again with the Ranney School on a brand new admissions viewbook. KWD designed the School’s last viewbook in 2001, and after a marked enrollment increase and growth within the School, they have invited the KWD to update the book with a new design.

8.01.06 KWD On Board with Temple Annual Fund Again
For the second year in a row, Kelsh Wilson will conceptualize, design, photograph, and write Annual Fund publications for Temple University. Kelsh Wilson will develop a package of solicitations to be sent to Temple alumni and friends throughout the year. The KWD team will also develop the theme for a “Class Pride” fundraising campaign, which is marketed to current seniors. The campaign includes designs for giveaway t-shirts and messenger bags, as well as posters and a mailer.

7.31.06 Settlement Music School Brings KWD Back for Annual Appeals
Kelsh Wilson is working again with long-time client Settlement Music School to create a series of annual appeals for the School’s 2006-2007 fiscal year.

7.15.06 KWD Creates Annual Fund Pieces for Temple School of Medicine for Second Year
Temple University School of Medicine again asked Kelsh Wilson to develop concepts for its fall and spring Annual Fund mailers. Both pieces make the appeal for alumni support by highlighting the School’s recent achievements and its ongoing emphasis on combining clinical excellence with community impact.

7.15.06 Gilman School Capital Campaign Kicks Off
Gilman School of Baltimore, MD, which was founded in 1897 as the nation’s first country day school, intends to raise $50 million with the help of its generous alumni and donors. Kelsh Wilson recently completed a 16-page case statement, which includes original KWD design, editorial content, and photography, which will help the School to reach that goal. The case statement, titled “Character, Leadership, Commitment,” outlines the strengths of the students, faculty, alumni and parents through stories, quotes and photos. In addition, Kelsh Wilson designed a campaign newsletter entitled “Initiatives” and a campaign kickoff event invitation and program.

7.05.06 New Site for Center for Literacy
Kelsh Wilson is working with The Center for Literacy, the nation's oldest and largest community-based nonprofit literacy provider, on redesigning its Web site. The site is set to launch in August 2006.

7.01.06 Franklin & Marshall College Pairs with KWD
Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA hired Kelsh Wilson to design several publications for this coming fiscal year. First on the list are F&M’s 2007 Reunion publications. KWD will design a Reunion 2007 word mark, save the date postcard, reunion letterhead, newsletter, event program and more for the event, which will take place in May of 2007. Kelsh Wilson will also write and design the College’s two F&M Fund annual appeals, as well as design a regional alumni events newsletter and leadership gift materials.

6.16.06 New Logo, Style Guide for PA Association of Realtors
The PA Association of Realtors (PAR), a member organization made up of roughly 32,000 realtors working in all 64 counties in the state of Pennsylvania, recently hired Kelsh Wilson to redesign its logo and produce a style guide for use when designing future publications in-house. Before designing, Senior Writer Kris Conner completed 16 interviews with PAR members to build a better understanding of the its culture, personality, values, and distinctive strengths—an essential first step in the process of developing a new visual identity that captures its essence. From there, KWD will make creative recommendations and apply them to the forthcoming logo designs. In addition, the Association has asked KWD to design a logo and fundraising brochure for the Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC).

5.19.06 KWD to Redesign Penn School of Veterinary Medicine Web site
The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine has asked Kelsh Wilson Design to redesign its Web site. The site, which serves current and potential students, faculty, alumni, friends, veterinarians and clients at the School’s Philadelphia campus, the Ryan Small Animal Hospital, the Widener Large Animal Hospital and the New Bolton Center, will be broadly reorganized and get a new look. KWD will also implement a custom content management system for faculty and staff to easily maintaining the site.

4.10.06 Penn Program Debuts With New Web Site and Brochure
Kelsh Wilson designed a brochure and Web site for The University of Pennsylvania’s new undergraduate program in Life Sciences and Management. The program, a joint effort between The College of Arts and Sciences and The Wharton School of Business, officially launches this fall. The pieces reflect the program’s balance between the sciences and business with the use of photography taken by Kelsh Wilson photographer Kevin Monko.

4.10.06 KWD Photographs SunGard’s 100 Percent Club Event
Kelsh Wilson’s photographers recently traveled to Puerto Rico to chronicle the daily activities at SunGard’s 100 Percent Club, an annual event the company sponsors to award its top-performing salespeople. SunGard will use the photos to create a commemorative piece to be shared with the employees and families who attended. This is the latest in a series of communications projects that KWD has worked on for SunGard over the past decade.

4.10.06 Kelsh Wilson Again Working with Boston Cabinetmakers KR+H
Kochman Reidt + Haigh, a custom cabinetmaking firm based outside Boston, has turned to Kelsh Wilson to design its new Web site. The new site will draw on many of the same visual elements that KWD created for the firm’s print marketing and capabilities piece, which debuted last spring. This coordinated look will establish a more powerful visual identity for KR+H—one that suits the exquisite craftsmanship and artistry of its cabinetry, which graces kitchens, libraries, media rooms, and other living spaces.

4.10.06 New Penn Program Turns to KWD for Web and Print Design
The University of Pennsylvania recently announced the formation of an innovative undergraduate program in Life Sciences and Management, a joint effort between The College of Arts and Sciences and The Wharton School of Business. Kelsh Wilson is now designing a Web site and print brochure for the new program, which officially begins in fall 2006. Students who enroll will take courses in life science and management, building a foundation for careers in areas ranging from pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to genetics and public health.

4.10.06 Kelsh Wilson Designs Publication Series for President’s Office at Penn
When Amy Gutmann was inaugurated as president of the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, she launched the “Penn Compact,” a vision to propel the University from “excellence to eminence” in teaching, research, and service. Kelsh Wilson has been hired to design a series of four publications that detail each of the tenets of the Compact. The first one, “Penn Engaging Locally,” has already been completed and shared with government, business, and community leaders.

Kelsh Wilson developed a new logo and collateral for Brandywine Global Investment Management, LLC, a growing firm with three U.S. locations and international offices in Singapore and Athens. In addition to the logo, Kelsh Wilson designed a new firm Web site, signage, event collateral and more.

1.10.06 Berger & Montague Hires KWD for Image Brochure
Berger & Montague, a leading Philadelphia law firm and a national pioneer in the field of class action law, has hired Kelsh Wilson to develop a print brochure that will support its marketing and recruiting efforts. This project will build on the success of a comprehensive Web site redevelopment that Kelsh Wilson completed for Berger & Montague a few years ago, drawing on many of the same visual elements.

1.10.06 Kelsh Wilson Creating Admissions DVD for William & Mary
KWD is collaborating with The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, to create a DVD that will be featured prominently in the admissions office’s new welcome center. This video presentation will offer visiting students their first taste of the William & Mary experience before meeting with admissions staff and touring the campus. KWD has worked on the College’s print admissions publications for the past several years.

1.05.06 KWD to Design New Logo for Brandywine Asset Management, LLC
Kelsh Wilson is developing a new logo and stationery package for Brandywine Asset Management, LLC, a growing global investment management firm with three U.S. locations and international offices in Singapore and Athens. In addition to capturing Brandywine’s current image, the new logo will play a key role in introducing the firm’s new name and the impending move of its headquarters from Wilmington to the Cira Centre in Philadelphia. It also will become the basis for a new Web site, which Kelsh Wilson has been hired to design.

1.05.06 Communications Work Under Way for Choate Rosemary Hall
Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT, one of the nation’s top boarding schools, has hired Kelsh Wilson to complete message research and develop a strategic communications plan for the school. KWD’s work will provide the foundation for future admissions and development materials and other communication tools used by Choate’s Offices of Development and Communications.

10.25.05 Kelsh Wilson Design Announces Staff Promotions
Kathie Wissmann, long-time business manager at Kelsh Wilson Design, has been named a partner in the firm. Kathie has been with KWD since its founding in 1993, and before that she handled business functions for its two predecessor firms, Kelsh Marr, Inc. and Wilson Design Associates. As a partner, she will continue to work closely with Nick Kelsh and Fred Wilson to manage the firm’s day-to-day operations and focus on longer-term business objectives. In addition, Kelsh Wilson has promoted Senior Designer Lia Reinholt, an 11-year veteran of the firm, to Associate Design Director. In that role she will help to ensure the quality and originality of all design projects.

10.15.05 KWD to Continue Collaborations with Sidwell Friends and Kent Place
Kelsh Wilson is working with long-time client Sidwell Friends School, an independent school in Washington, DC, to create a print publication that will promote its athletic programs. The piece will be designed to accompany the viewbook and search piece that KWD previously created for use by the admissions office. Another long-term client, Kent Place School in Summit, NJ, has hired Kelsh Wilson to conduct message research and create an admissions piece for its Primary School. KWD also will update the viewbook it created for Kent Place a few years ago with new writing and photography.

10.01.05 Campaign Collateral for Princeton Day School Debuts
Princeton Day School, a junior kindergarten-grade 12 independent school in Princeton, NJ, kicked off a $50 million capital campaign effort in September with materials created by Kelsh Wilson. KWD developed the campaign theme, “Investing in Excellence: The Campaign for Princeton Day School,” the logo, and a wide range of supporting materials that have built a distinct identity for this important effort. These included the case statement, stationery package, folders, and pledge cards; invitations, programs, and cocktail napkins for the opening gala; and a Web site that features campaign news, updates, and video coverage of related events.

10.01.05 KWD Creates Annual Fund Pieces for Temple School of Medicine

7.12.05 Nick Kelsh Judges Competition
Kelsh Wilson principal and photographer Nick Kelsh recently lent his insight and expertise to a national competition at the NAACP's annual meeting, held at the Philadelphia Convention Center. Nick served as a judge for the photography category in the 27th Annual ACT-SO Competition (the Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics), a year-long enrichment program for talented African-American high school students. Students first compete at the local level in 25 categories in the visual and performing arts, humanities, sciences, and business, with top winners moving on to the national competition at the NAACP's annual meeting.

7.06.05 Magazine Design for ARAMARK
ARAMARK Corporation has selected Kelsh Wilson to design its new corporate magazine, "The Mark" - a high-profile quarterly communication targeting employee, customer, and investor audiences. One of the largest providers of managed services in the world, ARAMARK has some 200,000 employees in 18 countries, engaged in businesses ranging from food and uniform services to the maintenance of clinical equipment in medical settings.

6.15.05 Settlement Music School Taps KWD to Create Interactive DVD
Kelsh Wilson is working with long-time client Settlement Music School to create an interactive DVD that the school will use to support its development efforts. The DVD will combine “day-in-the-life” profiles of current students with an informational slide show about Settlement, which serves more than 15,000 music students in the greater Philadelphia region. KWD plans to incorporate some of the same visual design elements it has used in creating a viewbook, annual fund mailers, and other print materials for the school.

Kelsh Wilson recently created a new logo and stationery package for St. Monica Manor, a South Philadelphia nursing home owned by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. 6.01.05 Piedmont Realty Uses New Logo and Collateral Materials Designed by KWD
Kelsh Wilson recently designed a new logo for Piedmont Real Estate Associates in Exton, PA, and then incorporated it into new designs for several collateral materials, including lawn signs, program brochures, a pocket folder, and letterhead. Piedmont is a group of real estate companies that work together to help homeowners sell their properties without all of the hassles normally associated with remodeling, marketing, showing, and selling a house.

6.01.05 Kelsh Wilson to Design Web Site for Local Technical School
Orleans Technical Institute, a technical school operated by the Jewish Employment and Vocational Service (JEVS), has chosen KWD to design its new Web site. With campuses in Northeast and Center City Philadelphia, Orleans prepares students for careers in building trades, food services, court reporting, and business.

6.01.05 SunGard World Publication Wins Award from Paper Company
Stora Enso paper company has recognized KWD’s SunGard World 2004 agenda as a winner in its annual “What Teams Can Do” Competition, a contest judged by a panel of graphic design and printing experts. Kelsh Wilson designed the 55-page agenda to help attendees easily navigate their way through the SunGard World conference, which brought some of the biggest players in the information technology business to Las Vegas for five days of education and networking. The publication will be featured in a catalog of winners published by Stora Enso.

3.01.05 KWD Receives Five Admissions Marketing Report Awards
Five admissions publications created by Kelsh Wilson won Merit Awards in the 20th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards sponsored by Admissions Marketing Report, a monthly magazine covering news and trends in the admissions marketing field. The winners included viewbooks for The Haverford School, Rowan University, and the State University of New York-College at Oneonta; a school fair piece for Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC; and a catalogue for Settlement Music School.

3.01.05 IKON Office Solutions Looks to KWD for Marketing Brochure
Kelsh Wilson’s new promotional piece for IKON, one of the world’s largest providers of document management equipment and services, is designed to function as the centerpiece of the company’s marketing efforts. Intended to introduce IKON to customers, investors, the media, and industry peers, the publication will be used in situations ranging from trade shows to high-level corporate sales meetings. KWD’s work on the piece was informed by an understanding of IKON developed over years of working on the company’s annual reports and other marketing projects.

3.01.05 Kelsh Wilson to Build Web Site for Friends Select School
KWD has been selected by Friends Select School, a K through 12 Quaker school in Philadelphia, to design and build its new Web site. Kochman Reidt + Haigh, a custom cabinetmaking firm based outside Boston, is now promoting its work with a marketing and capabilities piece created by Kelsh Wilson. The booklet shows KR+H’s exquisite craftsmanship to best advantage through striking photographs of finished spaces such as kitchens, libraries, and other living spaces. 1.25.05 KWD Designs Print Ads for Regis College
Working with Regis College in Weston, MA, Kelsh Wilson has created a series of print ads designed to establish a consistent look for the College’s graduate programs, which range from education and communications to nursing and health policy. Kelsh Wilson was recently awarded a Web assessment project for Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. 2.20.04 KWD to Design Second Web Site for the University of Pennsylvania
When the University of Pennsylvania needed a firm to create a Web site highlighting the arts and culture on campus, they turned to Kelsh Wilson. Our first site for the University, Research at Penn, won silver medals from the CASE Circle of Excellence and the Philadelphia chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Working with all of the artistic and cultural entities on campus, Kelsh Wilson will develop a Web site with an easy-to-use events calendar, an e-mail newsletter, and descriptions of venues and academic programs.

12.10.03 UNC Chapel Hill Commissions Web Redesign
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has contracted with Kelsh Wilson for a complete redesign of its Web site, a project intended to strengthen the site in terms of its visual appeal, its functional quality, and its content. In addition to developing a new information architecture and navigational approach, Kelsh Wilson will redesign the graphic interfaces and complete new photography for the site. In a planned second phase of work, KWD will redesign the University’s undergraduate admissions print materials to coordinate in appearance and message with the new site.

10.27.03 Kelsh Wilson Supports Corporate Events
Kelsh Wilson has created a complete set of materials — from print collateral to a CD-ROM — for SunGard Data Systems’ 100 Percent Club, an annual event the company sponsors to reward its top-performing sales people. This year’s design for the invitations and programs establishes a coherent visual identity for "the Club," with a tropical theme inspired by its Puerto Rico location. KWD photographed the event and produced two gift pieces sent to participants afterwards: a commemorative book and a CD-ROM containing more than 1,300 images of employees and their families enjoying the activities. KWD also recently designed the collateral materials for SunGard’s customer conference in Orlando, SunGard World, a four-day event attracting 1,200 attendees.

Kelsh Wilson has delivered new admissions publications for four new independent school clients: Friends Select School in Philadelphia, Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, PA, Gilman School in Baltimore, Newark Academy in Newark, NJ. KWD also created a new viewbook for Montclair Kimberley Academy in Montclair, NJ, a long-time client. 10.25.03 Kent Place Web Site Features Robust Content Management
Kelsh Wilson has launched a new Web site for Kent Place School, a K-12 independent school for girls in Northern New Jersey. The site’s highly customized content management system (CMS) allows staff members throughout the school to post content without knowing HTML and without risk to the site’s design. Through the CMS, Kelsh Wilson’s first for an independent school, users access simple back-end interfaces to upload text and images to the site which are automatically formatted for display. "Schools are realizing the importance of content management," says Laura Silverman, the project’s manager. 9.22.03 Kelsh Wilson Profiles SunGard Clients Worldwide
Kelsh Wilson’s writers and photographers are at work on an ongoing series of customer profiles for SunGard, a leading IT provider in the financial industry and a long-time KWD client. The stories for SunGard World magazine, which feature day-in-life profiles and on-the-job photos, have introduced readers to traders, bankers, and IT managers from San Diego to London to Cape Town. The project’s goal is to give readers an understanding of how SunGard’s highly technical and specialized products are really used and of the real people who use them.

9.22.03 The University of the Arts Web Site Launches
Kelsh Wilson has completed the design and development for a comprehensive new Web site for The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. 8.15.03 John Romanski Joins KWD as Web Development Director
Early this fall, Kelsh Wilson welcomed John Romanski as the newest member of its professional team, in the role of Web Development Director. A veteran developer whose experience dates to the early days of the Internet, John most recently worked as the lead technologist for a Philadelphia ad agency. He brings expertise in a range of technical tools and in applying these to meet the strategic needs of businesses and educational organizations. John has lectured on Web-related topics at several area colleges and is chair of the education committee of the Philadelphia Area New Media Association.

8.15.03 Eckerd College and Fairfield University Projects Debut
Kelsh Wilson is reaching the final stages of two major communications campaigns for educational clients: one for Eckerd College in Florida, the other for Fairfield University in Connecticut. Each began with significant research to bring institutional messages into focus, and each is culminating with new print packages supporting admissions. Kelsh Wilson completed similar work for The University of the Arts in Philadelphia a year ago and is now extending the UArts brand to the online realm with a comprehensive new Web site for the University.

7.10.03 KWD Develops Identity for Leading Law Firm
Berger & Montague, a leading Philadelphia law firm and a national pioneer in the field of class action law, has hired Kelsh Wilson to develop a graphic identity for the firm, featuring a new stationery package. The project builds on the success of a comprehensive Web site redevelopment that Kelsh Wilson completed for B&M — a project that introduced the wordmark and visual approach now being extended into print.

6.15.03 CASE Honors KWD Print and Web Work
The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, the leading organization of college and school communications and development professionals, recently honored several Kelsh Wilson projects with medals. The Web site Research at Penn, for the University of Pennsylvania, won a silver medal, and Kelsh Wilson’s admissions publications package and minority recruitment brochure for Lebanon Valley College were both honored with bronze medals. Kelsh Wilson’s two most recent admissions packages for SUNY Oneonta and our interactive CD-ROM for the Springside School are all CASE gold medal winners.

6.01.03 Nick Kelsh Shoots A Day in the Life of the Armed Forces — and More
The work of KWD partner and photographer Nick Kelsh can be found in bookstores in three recent releases: A Day in the Life of the United States Armed Forces, A Day in the Life of Africa, and How to Photograph Your Life — the third in his series of how-to volumes. The armed forces project took Nick to Guam, where he shot a photo of a Navy SEAL that has since been featured several times on national television. For A Day in the Life of Africa, Nick traveled to the Central African Republic. Both projects are part of a successful series that brings together top photographers from around the world.
